Likewise, The Brahma Temple exhibits four-faced image of Brahma and is made up of granite stone.
On the other hand, Kandariya Mahadeo, Chaunsat Yogini Temple, Lakshamana Temple, Chitragupta Temple, and Matangeswara Temple are some of the Western Group Temples in Khajuraho. Devoted to Lord Shiva, Kandariya Mahadeo is the city's largest temple touching the height of 31 m. Similarly, Chaunsat Yogini Temple is dedicated to goddess Kali. Lakshamana Temple highlights the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, alongwith goddess Lakshmi. Meanwhile, the veneration to Sun God and a three-headed Brahma image is shown by Chitragupta Temple. Famous for its eight feet high lingam, Matangeswara Temple is devoted to Lord Shiva.
The Southern Group is mainly constituted by two temples, Dulah Dao Temple, and Chaturbhuja Temple. Devoted to Lord Shiva, Dulah Dao Temple is among the most recent temples in Khajuraho. While, Chaturbhuja Temple shows honour to Lord Vishnu and holds a captivating 10 feet icon of him. As compared to two othet groups, the temples of this group have lack of creativity.
Apart from this, other major sites in Khajuraho are in the form of museums. The Archaeological Museum is a spell-binding spot which has a concentration of various rescued sculptures. In 1910, the free sculptures and architectural member of the ruined temples were collected and conserved in an enclosure. This open-air collection was known as Jardine Museum. In 1952, the Archaeological Survey of India took it over and changed its name to Archaeological Museum.
