Day 01: New Delhi
New Delhi the capital of India is the gateway for International and native tourists. On arrival at the city, the representative of Himachal Bird Watching Tour would guide you. The necessary arrangements are made to make your stay comfortable. The overnight stay is in Delhi.
Day 02: New Delhi- Chandigarh
After a quick breakfast, if you are interested we could take you for the bird watching at the Okhla Barrage. Else we could drive straight to Chandigarh and reach by evening. Spend the night at the hotel and have a leisurely evening.
Day 03: Chandigarh- Narkanda
After breakfast we leave for Narkanda. On the way we can stop on the route for bird watching. Tentatively reach Narkanda in the afternoon. It is a stunning place and the bird watching tour begins from here onwards.
Day 04: Narkanda – Sangla
We leave for Sangla immediately after breakfast. The journey takes around six hours. It is mesmerizing and breathtaking drive through the gorges of the Great Himalayas. Kamru fort and Sangla has beautiful and scenic locations for bird watching. Tonight we stay in tents and have a campfire dinner.
Day 05: Sangla
The entire day would be spent in Sangla. We would be visiting Chitkul. This is a village that is surrounded by the high mountain peaks and green fields. Enroute we would stop for bird watching. We would return back to Sangla in the evening and stay overnight here.
Day 06: Sangla- Sarahan
Sangla to Sarahan takes 4hours. Sarahan is a beautiful village in the midst of apple orchards surrounded by the ever dominating peak Srikand Mahadeva peak. The height of this peak is 5,155m and it resembles a Shivling. This village has the famous Bhimkali temple. Here we spend the entire day bird watching. We would also visit the Phesant Breeding farm. The tourists would be put up in a hotel at night.
Day 07 Sarahan-Tirthan Valley
After breakfast we would be driving to Goshaini. It is an 8hour drive through Shoja and Jalori Pass. The altitude of Shoja is 8,000 feet. We drive through the thick forests that houses a wide variety of trees including alpine trees to reach the small and beautiful village of Shoja. Here we can take a pleasant walk through the forest logging road for a beautiful bird watching. Monal, Kaleej and Koklas are some of the birds could be spotted here. Around evening we drive to Goshaini and stay at a lodge in Tirthan.
Day 08 Tirthan Valley
The Great Himalayan National Park is popular for bird watching is situated in Tirthan. We would be walking towards the park. There is also a stream along the river Tirthan. This is a wonderful place for bird watching. This would take an entire day and we stay overnight at Tirthan.
Day 09 Tirthan –Banjar Valley
After breakfast we would drive towards the Banjar Valley. The places located at this valley called Jibhi and Bahu have wide variety of birds and are a popular haunt of the bird watchers. Stay overnight at a hotel here.
Day 10 Banjar Valley – New Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast we drive back to New Delhi. We are likely to reach by evening. You would be transferred to the hotel and you have the entire evening to reminiscence the bird watching experience.
Day 11: New Delhi
Today, you can turn homewards after an exciting ten days with us.
