Day 01: Delhi
On arrival, you would be received by the representative of Imperial Escapade Tour. He would do the needful regarding the transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay is at a hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After a quick breakfast, you will be taken to visit places of cultural importance and must see attractions around Delhi. The places that will be covered by the Imperial Escapade Tour are mainly the Laxmi Narayan Temple, which is also known as Birla Mandir, India and the Parliament.
You will also visit the prominent and the legendary historical sites of old Delhi like the Chandni Chowk, Red fort, Jama Masjid , Raj Ghat and Qutub Minar. Old Delhi was the Capital of the Mughal Emperors. Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in whole of Asia, whereas Qutab Minar is a tall brick minaret built by Qutubuddin Aibak. The Red Fort and the Jama Masjd -The great wonders of Shah Jahan are built in red sand stone . Both these monuments are great tourist sites of Delhi . Raj Ghat is memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. We would be spending the entire day at Delhi. In the evening, you would be able to see the sound and light show at the Red Fort.
Day 03: Delhi-Agra
Today we visit the world famous “one of the seven wonders”- Taj Mahal. This monument was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to complete the monument. It is noted for its design, balance and the symmetry. The other places to visit are Itmad ud Daulah and the tomb of Akbar- Sikandara. You will be staying overnight at Agra. You will visit the Taj Mahal in a horse carriage and in the evening, you again experience the light and sound show on the replica of Taj Mahal. You would be given a chance to relive the Mughal legacy.
Day 04 Agra- Samode
Agra fort where Shahjahan was imprisoned by his own son Aurangzeb will be visited after breakfast. This fort was built by Akbar and it resides on the banks of river Yamuna. On the way to Samode, we would drop at the Famous Fatehpur Sikri Fort. This is a 16th century marvel and breathtaking fort.
Tentatively, we would reach Samode around afternoon. Visit the fort in Samode. The fort was built during the 16th century by the 7th Samode ruler. He had gifted this to one of his 12 sons for his gallantry.
Day 05 Samode- Jaipur
Reach Jaipur in the afternoon after exploring the villages of Samode. Explore the pink city which is surrounded by the Aravali Hills. This city was named after the Rajout king Jai Singh II. He had moved his capital to this place in the year 1727. It was Prince Albert who called Jaipur the Pink City in the year 1853. The reason is the forts and palaces here are built using the red sandstone. You would also be visiting the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), the open Astronomical Observatory (1727 AD) to see the various astronomical instruments used in those days. In the evening, you can shop around in the bazaar.
Day 06 Jaipur
After a refreshing sleep and healthy breakfast, we start our sightseeing by visiting the Amber Fort. We take an elephant ride to visit this fort. This fort is an 18th century marvel. It took nearly 100 years to complete the fort. The scenery around the fort is breathtaking. It gives an insight into the lives of the erstwhile royal families.
Jaipur is famous for textile block printing, carpet weaving, and blue pottery. We would also visit the special areas where Raja Jai Singh II had designed for the Bandhanas, the Cheepas and the Meenakari Workers.
Day 07: Jaipur- Udaipur
Udaipur is famous for palaces and it has the richest palace museum in Rajasthan. It is famous for the miniature paintings and temples. The two famous temples are the Nagda and Eklingji. These temples were built during the 7th century. We would take you for a boat ride in the Lake Pichola to reach the Jagmandir Island to see the sunset. This is a vantage point and you can see the City palace, Lake Palace and the Sajjangarh fort from here. In the 17th century, Prince Khurram took refuge in this island.
Day 08: Udaipur
This is known as the city of palaces. Here you would be visiting the various palaces and also the Garden of maidens and the Folklore museum. This museum houses various painting and puppets that display the talents of the artisans of the yesteryears. It would take an entire day to visit the various place of interest in Udaipur.
Day 09: Udaipur - Delhi
On the ninth day the tour proceeds back to Delhi . The tourists board their flight for the homeward journey .
