Likewise, Sankat Mochan Mandir is one of the most popular temples and is devoted to Lord Hanuman. Also called as Birla Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple is nested adjacent to the Durga Temple. Bharat Mata Mandir is not dedicated to any specific deity, but displays a large map of India formed by marble carving. Another major temple is Nepali Temple built in Nepali fashion on Lalita Ghat.
Museums in Varanasi are made in graceful style. Bharat Kala Bhawan is nestled inside the BHU campus and highlights great work of art and architecture. It has a vast collection of Hindu and Buddhist sculptures and paintings. Besides this, the city has an amazing site called Ramnagar Fort. It is positioned on the opposite bank of river Ganga. It has a temple and a ground. On the other hand, Banaras Hindu University is an educational spot in the city. Above all, the shopping streets and bazaars in Varanasi should not be missed. This city is a thriving centre of commerce. You will find a plenty of handicraft items. Mainly there are brassware, ivory ware, wall hangings, lampshades, carpets, and gold jewellery. Not only this, sculptures of various deities and gods are also exhibited.
