Day 01: Kolkata – Delhi – Guwahati
Arrival at Guwahati, transfer to Tezpur.
Day 02: Itanagar to Ziro
Next day morning, visit to the museums, local market, and emporium. After having your lunch, you will enjoy a drive to Ziro, which is the lower Sabunsiri district headquarters of Arunachal Pradesh. It is surrounded by the Apatani tribal villages.
Day 03: Ziro - Daporijo
Next day morning, you will get to visit Daporijo, enroute the Apatani villages would interest you. Daporijo, the Upper Subansri district headquarter of Arunachal Pradesh, is inhabited by Tagin tribe. In the interim, you will also get to visit the Hillmiri tribal villages located at Raga.
Day 04: Daporijo - Along
The Adi (Gallong) tribes are based along the West Saing district headquarters of Arunachal Pradesh, at a height of 300 meters. Different sub-tribes within Adi include Gallong, minyong, pasi, Bori, padam, Boker. You also get to visit the Jirdin, Kabu, and Kaying villages. The hanging bridge on River Siang is also quite attractive. Made of cane and bamboo, the hanging bridge is about 60-70 meters long, and connects different hill tribes.
Day 05: Along - Pasighat
You will be taken to Pasighat, the East Siang District headquarters of Arunachal Pradesh. It is situated at an altitude of 150 meters. The hill inhabitants include the Adi (minyong) tribe. In the interim, you can also visit the Pangin tribal villages, located along River Siang. This area is perfect for pursuing different adventure sports like trekking, river rafting and angling.
Day 06: Pasighat – Dibrugarh - Jorhat
River Brahamaputra will be crossed on a country-made ferry. It takes about 5-6 hours to reach Dibrugarh. A drive will take you to Jorhat, where you will make an overnight stay.
Day 07 & Day 08: Jorhat - Mokokchung
On the 7th day, you will reach Mokokchung. Major attractions of this place include the hills, valleys, and Ungma village, one of the oldest villages in India. The Ungma village is many centuries old and a large number of people are interested in its Ao folklore, customs, and traditions.
Day 09: Mokokchung - Kohima
On Day 9, you get to visit the Kohima village (Bara Basti), which is recognized as one of the highly populated tribal villages in Asia. For stories of valor and courage, head to the Khonoma Village. The Khonoma gate speaks a lot about the time when British infiltration took place into Naga hill. Major attractions include World War II cemetery, emporium, museum, and the local market.
Day 10: Kohima
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Kohima - Dimapur
Catch the connecting flight to Delh/Calcutta.
Day 12: Kohima -Tezpur
Travel to Texpur, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 13: Tezpur - Guwahati
Travel to Guwahati airport, and catch the connecting flight to the city of Delhi.
