Places to Visit : Nagpur - Pench National Park - Jabalpur - Kanha - Chhattisgarh – Orissa


Day 01: Arrive at Nagpur
Assistance will be provided to you on your arrival at Airport. Later you will be driven to Pench National Park. Overnight at Bagh Van.


Day 02: Nagpur - Pench National Park
A visit to the Pench National Park, early morning. Major attractions of this sanctuary include blue bull, tiger, wild dog, leopard, bison, and several other species of animals and birds. An elephant ride will be part of the tiger show. Lunch at hotel. Post-lunch you will be driven back to the Pench National Park as the best time to visit is at sunset. An overnight stay at Bagh Van. Day 03: Pench National Park
Another full day will be spent at the Pench National Park, followed by overnight stay at Bagh Van.

Day 04: Pench National Park – Jabalpur
A drive to Jabalpur. A fast check in at Hotel Kalchuri, Bedha Ghat. A free evening at Marble Rock.


Day 05: Jabalpur - Kanha National Park
A cruise in the river, where you will get to see the exquisite Marble Rocks. A drive to the Kanha National Park is up next, followed by an overnight stay at Royal Tiger Resort or Tuli Tiger Resort.


Day 06: Kanha National Park
Early morning, a visit to the tiger reserve, where you will get to see nature at its glorious best. An overnight stay at Royal Tiger resort.


Day 7: Kanha National Park
An elephant ride in Kanha National Park to see the tiger and other animals. Overnights stay in the resort.


Days 08 & Day 09: Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat
Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat is about two hours away from Kanha. The ancient Khajuraho-style temples are located near to the Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat. The Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat marks the start of an incredible tribal experience. The 11th century Bhoramdeo Temple site is one of the best attractions of this place. It is actually quite similar to the Khajuraho temples in India. You will also be taken to the Gond and Baiga villages. Tribal Tours in India


The Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat provides a one-of-its-kind farmhouse living experience. The tribe descendants maintain a close-to-nature way of leading their life. The markets, costumes, and festivals serve as further attractions for the visitors.


A trek into the elegant Maikal Hill and a visit to the God and Baiga markets, are part of the regular tour program. If you feel that to be too taxing, then you can always opt to relax at the farmhouse. The wonderful Baiga tribal dance is what you would get to see at evening.


Day 10: Bhoramdeo Jungle Retreat - Raipur – Kanker
After breakfast, leave for Raipur. Visit the Sirpur group of temples. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Kanker Palace, Gateway to Tribal Bastar through National Highway 43. You will be reaching just in time for tea.


The princely hosts, Rajkumar Surya (Jolly) and his younger brother Ashwini of the Kanker Royal Family (Jai) would take you through the history of the Kanker Royal Family. Elder brother Aditya, is the current Maharajadhiraj of Kanker. He is associated with St. Stephen's College in Delhi as a history teacher.


Also part of the program is familiarisation with Kanker, where you would get to learn about the history of the region. Welcoming drinks and local entertainment would also be a part of your program at Kanker. Kanker Palace/Bastar tours are all inclusive full board packages, the extras being alcoholic drinks, laundry and discretionary tips.


Day 11: Kanker - Jagdalpur
An Indian or English breakfast at the Kanker Palace, and then you are off to the Keshkal Ghat, located 30 kilometers to the south of Kanker,


The Bastar people have retained their tribal lifestyles and are quite unique in their approach to their life.


The Muria Gond tribe have their base at North Bastar. You will be taken to the tribal village located near Bahigaon, NH 43. A picnic lunch awaits you at the forest, followed by a visit to the Saathi NGO handicrafts project at Kumharpara (Potters' Enclave), closer to the market town of Kondagaon. The project has began with the view to preserve and foster the arts and crafts of the region..


In the afternoon, you will be taken to Jagdalpur, Bastar's capital. Check in to the newly founded Naman Bastar Resort, located 5 kilometers away from the city. If you still have time on hand, you can think about touring the local tribal weekly market, apart from taking a short evening walk also the city and its handicraft outlets. Dinner will be served at Naman Bastar.


Note: Naman Bastar's restaurant offers only vegetarian food to the diners. Non-vegetarian food can be had at Jagdalpur City.


Days 12 & Day 13: Jagdalpur and South Bastar
Over the next two days, from Jagdalpur you will be traveling to the country-side where the Bison-Horn Maria and Dhurwa tribes are located.


Spectacular dance performances is what awaits you at the location. The life, costumes, ornaments and customer of the tribal people, attract the attention of the visitors.


You will also be taken to the tribal weekly market and the Chitrakote Waterfall on the Indravati River, which gets illuminated at night. In the evening, you can visit the city markets of Jagdalpur.


You may have just enough time to travel to the Kaner Valley National Park. Special attractions of this place include the stalactite and stalagmite structures of Kutumsar and Kailash Caves.


Day 14: Jagdalpur - North Bastar – Jagdalpur
After breakfast at Jagdalpur, you will leave for Narayanpur, which is the main, North Bastar town. On the way, you can visit a Muria villa, where you will get to the traditional dance performances by the Gotul members. The Narayanpur market is perfect to visit on a Sunday. The Mardoom market can be visited on Saturdays. It is located near to the Chitrakoot waterfall.


Day 15: Jagdalpur - Kotpad - Kakariguma Market – Rayagada
In morning, you will be driven to Kotpad, a tribal textile village of Orissa (30 km). A visit to the Kakariguma tribal market is up on the itinerary next. On the way to Rayagada, you can also visit the Paraja villages, which are closer to areas like Laximipur and Hathi pathar. Overnight stay at Hotel Sai International.


Day 16: Rayagada - Dukum – Niyamgiri - Rayagada
After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, the Dukum market of Kondhs plain is where you will head to. Next up is a drive to the Agaria village, where the metal smiths craft Jewel Aries meant to be use by Hill Dongaria Kondh people. A drive to Niyamgiri Mountain will take you to some of the most primitive villages of the Dongaria Kondhs, where the attractions include the ancient houses, and the platform earlier used for making human sacrifices. After a dance performance of the dormitory boys and girls, you will be traveling to Rayagada.


Day 17: Rayagada - Chatikana – Jeypore
After a quick breakfast, you will be moving to Chatikana, where the Dongaria Kondhs weekly market is the prime attraction. After spending some time there, you will be moving back to your hotel for lunch. The next destination is Jeypore, but in the interim you will also be traveling to the ornamental Baro Paraja tribe villages. An overnight stay at Hello Jeypore.


Day 18: Jeypore - Onukadalli - Gupteswara - Jeypore
Visit to the Bondo village. One of the most primitive tribes of Orissa, Bondo people live in the Bondo hills. They are part of the mundari group and speak the language, Remo, an Austro-Asiatic language. A photo session would be a nice idea to pursue, after which proceed to Gupteswara area, where the Dhuruba tribes live. Back to the hotel in the evening.


Day 19: Jeypore - Kunduli - Vizag
In the morning, you will proceed to Vishakapatnam, enroute lie the tribal weekly markets of Kunduli, where the Mail and Paraja tribe live. You will reach Vishakapatnam in late afternoon. An overnight stay at The Park, The Taj, the Grand Bay or the Green Park.


Day 20: Vizag - Simhachalam Temple – Mumbai - Delhi
In the morning, you will be driven back to the airport, after a quick visit to the 11th century Simhachalam Temple. Tour Ends.
